About Us

Our Mission

At Street Dawg Crew of Utah our mission is simple: supporting pets and their people. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit pet food pantry, we provide free pet food and pet supplies, promote responsible pet ownership through low-cost spay/neuter resources, and connect pet parents with affordable veterinary care through our partner organizations.

Our Vision

Pawsitively Impacting Pets. We believe every pawprint matters.

Meet the Crew and Board

Trachelle (Chelle) Hilton-King, Director

Chelle has been involved in animal welfare for over 20 years. She has been with Street Dawg Crew since 2016 when she accepted a board member position. In 2024 she took over as Director of the all-volunteer organization. Chelle has a deep compassion and commitment to animals, fostering senior hospice dogs with her husband and son, Tayden, as well as transporting rescued animals to their new foster homes. She has been a hospice mom to over 22 senior dogs who passed on and gained their wings, completing their time on earth at her home.

She is a Development Officer for the Salt Lake Education Foundation, writing grants, fundraising, and developing partnerships. She also serves on the board of the Jordan High School Alumni Association. She is a graduate of the University of Utah and completed her MBA at Western Governors University. Chelle loves to travel and attend concerts.

Amy Simpson, Secretary/Treasurer

Amy has been fostering, adopting, and an animal advocate for over 15 years. She joined Street Dawg Crew in 2019, and has been an outreach and special event volunteer, board member, and treasurer.

She works in IT at University of Utah Health, has 2 grown children, and currently lives with more than a handful of animals. When not working or volunteering, she walks and hikes with her dogs, reads a variety of fiction and non-fiction books, cares for her garden, and spends quality time with her family and a few close friends.

Tracy Grisler, Officer

Tracy currently lives in Salt Lake City. She has hiked the mountains and flats of the Wasatch and is grateful to be able to do that. She has always had an affinity for dogs and horses, hamsters, birds and almost all animals. She has come to realize that all living beings are precious and if they cannot take care of themselves, we must step in. Our planet and our souls depend on it.

Berkley King, Board Chair

For over 15 years, Berk has been devoted to animal rescue, actively participating in transporting, senior dog fostering, and supporting both animals and the organizations who serve them. Berk grew up on a small farm in northern Utah, where he developed a strong work ethic that guides his life, from before sunrise to after sunset. He has a deep passion for the outdoors, enjoys tackling home improvement projects, and values quality time with his family.

Berkley currently serves as the Benefits Director and ADAAA Coordinator for Granite School District in Salt Lake City, one of the largest school districts in Utah, and among the top 30 largest districts in the nation. With more than 31 years in benefits and human resources across higher education, private industry, and the public sector, Berk brings a well-rounded perspective to his work. He earned a degree from Weber State University, where his time as a collegiate athlete instilled in him the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and a never-give-up mentality.

Jill Wicks, Vice Chair

Jill calls Evergreen, Colorado home with her husband of 16 years and their two rescued pups, Chief and Korbi. As a board member, Jill works with the Board Chair and other members to identify areas of opportunity for fundraising, donations, and continued support for Street Dawg Crew’s outreach programs.

She is passionate about the positive impact pets have on their human owners and believes in keeping pets out of shelters by providing access to essential resources.

Professionally, Jill is an Account Executive with MetLife with the West Customer Unit. As an Account Executive, she is responsible for the overall account relationship and management of all MetLife products and services delivered to a group of National Accounts customers in the Western region.

Daniel English, Board Member

Hard work, a deep love and respect for nature, and integrity were foundational values instilled in Dan by dedicated parents while growing up in a rambunctious household of nine siblings. This influenced everything that he has pursued in his life, including a 30-year career as an environmental scientist with the State of Utah Dept. of Environmental Quality (retired), a business focused on trees (Wasatch Evergreens), and making his family at the heart of everything he does. He is most comfortable surrounded by mountains, dirt, trees, and wildlife. He can often be found hiking, fishing, and now with his grandchildren, identifying native trees, flora, and fauna. He also has a small obsession with classic vehicles which he seems to have passed on to his children. Much to the dismay of their spouses. A dog by his side has been a constant for Dan since his youth and he is happy to currently enjoy the companionship of Henry, a Griffon Wirehaired Pointer.

Temma Martin, Board Member

Temma has worked for four Utah-based animal welfare organizations, beginning in 1993, doing education and public relations. She has worked in the animal welfare field for more than 30 years, and is the founder and director of Operation Pawpulation, a nonprofit low-cost spay/neuter clinic. She is also the Utah state leader for United Spay Alliance and believes the best way to save the lives of pets is to prevent so many from being born. She lives in Salt Lake City with four adopted tuxedo cats, Fizzy Puff, Garbanzo, Squishy and Flash, and three adopted dogs— pit bull Petunia, an English bulldog mix named Penny, and a pit bull/Chihuahua mix named Clyde.

Robyn Parker, Board Secretary

Robyn has been married to Scott for 34 years and has an 18-year-old son who just graduated from high school. She is mom to an Olde English Bulldog who is the heart and soul of her family. When he is not racing around the house, he is a little lapdog and loves to snuggle on the couch with her or under her desk while she is working. She was not always a dog lover, though. It was not until she was in her early adulthood that she adopted her first dog. Ever since, the family has had a dog in their home and her love and appreciation for animals has only grown over time. She is honored to serve on the Board of Street Dawg Crew due to the positive impact they have on ensuring pets and their families are provided with the supplies they need.

Robyn has worked for 15 years as medical coder, currently with Revere Medical Group.
