What We Do

Pet Food Distribution
Every other Sunday from 12-1 PM our crew of volunteers gather at Pioneer Park in downtown Salt Lake City to distribute dog and cat food, litter, treats, and other supplies free of charge. During the winter months we provide dog and cat coats and sweaters for our unsheltered friends. No ID or qualifications needed. Just show up! Check our Facebook Events tab for our outreach schedule.

Vaccinations
Each spring we partner with a local vet to offer free vaccinations for pets of homeless and low-income families. If you need shots another time, the Humane Society of Utah offers walk-in vaccinations at low cost, no appointment needed. Click here to be directed to the Humane Society of Utah clinic page.

Spay/Neuter
We believe in helping pets stay healthy and not contributing to the overpopulation crisis. We partner with the Humane Society of Utah to connect families with affordable spay/neuter options. Need help? Email us with your name, phone number, and details about your pet (age, sex, breed) at info@streetdawgcrew.org.

Medical Care
We have limited funding assistance for non-emergency veterinary needs like ear/eye infections, x-rays, and basic blood work. Your pet must be spayed or neutered to qualify, based on available funding. We do not cover major surgery or dental care, but we are happy to share resources that may be able to assist. Please note: Any medical request granted by our board will be required to contribute toward the vet bill ahead of a scheduled appointment time. We do not cover 100% of any service. Click here for an additional list of organizations who may be able to help with vet bills.
The Crew Needs You
We are looking for compassionate animal lovers to join us serving those in need and their pets. Options include volunteering your time or sharing your hard-earned dollars with us through a donation. If you are over 16, we’d love your help bagging pet food and supplies or helping with Sunday distribution.
